Free for the people who need it
Documenting what happened to you should never cost money
IronRecord is free for individuals — all of it. We used to charge $3.99 a month and we were wrong: the people who need this most are the least able to pay, and every locked feature was a case that never made it to a lawyer.

Pricing questions, answered
Is it really free? What's the catch?
There's no catch and no credit card. Every feature an individual needs — unlimited incidents, the court-ready PDF, attorney share links, full deadline tracking — is free. Charging people for the ability to document what was done to them was backwards, so we stopped.
Then how does IronRecord make money?
Attorneys pay a flat monthly fee to be listed in our directory, the same way they would pay for any other advertising. Listings are free during launch while we build the directory. We also license IronRecord to organizations — legal aid societies, nonprofits, and unions — that manage many client records at once.
Do you take a percentage if I win my case?
Never. We are not a law firm, we take no part of any settlement or award, and we are not paid per case or per referral. Attorney listings are flat advertising fees only.
Are attorneys in the directory endorsed by IronRecord?
No. We verify each attorney against their state bar before listing them, but a listing is advertising, not a recommendation or referral. Always verify credentials and interview any attorney before retaining them.
What are the limits on the free plan?
Storage is capped at 2GB, which is thousands of photos and documents. That cap exists to prevent abuse, not to push you toward an upgrade. If you're documenting something long-running and need more room, email hello@ironrecord.org and we'll sort it out.
I run a nonprofit or legal aid office. Can we use this with clients?
Yes. Organizations can manage many client records under one license with expanded storage and support. Email orgs@ironrecord.org and we'll set you up.
